Fifteen years ago, three young and somewhat ignorant men stood in a cornfield contemplating their music careers and how they were struggling to get their feet in the door. Out of that frustration, MK837 was born as a test bed for new talent, unique sounds not bound to just one genre, and a healthy love of the old skool.
Now, 15 years later, we’re celebrating with the complete story across five hand-numbered collector’s edition CDs. From the hardest techno to the deepest house, from minimal grooves to progressive journeys and tech house bangers – this is MK837’s entire evolution captured in over 6 hours of continuous mixing.
Each release has been compiled and mixed by label boss Dave Richards in honor of long-past mix CD series like DJ-Kicks, Global Underground, Tranceport, and more.

Dave Richards built MK837 Records from the ground up as a home for unique, quality-focused electronic music that larger labels overlooked. His ear for authentic underground sounds and commitment to artist development have guided the label through 15 years of sonic exploration. As host of the Uniquely Yours radio show on both Data Transmission and Proton Radio, Dave regularly champions cutting-edge house and techno that deserves the spotlight. This special compilation represents his personal curation of the label’s defining moments – tracks that capture MK837’s soul and showcase why artists consistently praise the label’s genuine approach to music that matters.
